You Got A New Puppy!

What do you do now?

First congratulations on your new life friend. Puppies are among the most rewarding and loving animals and we are so happy to have this opportunity to share with you.

There are many steps to creating a life together, and supporting your puppy in the early stages of their lives. To begin the journey, we hope that you have researched your breed, and understand some of the genetic temperaments that can follow your little fluffy one. We can help you create a puppy plan for the first few months of their lives and support you into adulthood. Ask us for a consult and we can create a plan with you based on your lifestyle, needs and desires with your family.

What we are here for as well, is to help you hone and maximize the potential of the crucial early stages to build positive and well rounded puppies to grow into confident and positively influenced canines. This will help to prevent behavioral problems, fear, and aggressive concerns later.

It is true there are viruses, illness, and other concerns to exposing your puppy too in social settings, but the experts agree that the imperative socialization period of early puppyhood is absolutely vital in preventing the number one reason for canine death under the age of 3 years old, due to fearful, aggressive and problematic behaviors that are at risk of losing their lives and homes.

From the experts; "The primary and most important time for puppy socialization is the first 3 months of life.", behavioral issues, not infectious diseases, are the number one cause of death for dogs under 3 years of age" (American Veterinary Society of Animal Behavior, 2008a)

Our program works with breed specific needs, tendencies and skills to allow them to grow, gain confidence and skill appropriately exposed to allow them to have positive experiences with you and society. Our canine socialization is not just play, and skills and walking, it is about watching their body language, and cues, their thresholds of intake in situations and presented items. We will work for you and with you to gain a dog that is well rounded, and help you avoid concerns in their later years.

Alpine View Pet Spa is dedicated to enhancement of our lives both canine and human support, and wellness. We will create a plan for each family for the day puppy comes home all the way to adulthood and onward. We work with all breeds, all needs and if we feel that our program is not the right fit, we are committed to helping you find the right path for that.

Your success is our best interest and maintaining a positive experience for human and canines.
